Hardie Backer Board 500 is a fibre cement backer board designed as a stable and durable substrate for tile and stone installations. Made from Portland cement and sand, it is highly resistant to water, rot, swelling, and mould, making it ideal for wet areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and steam rooms. It provides an excellent bonding surface for tile adhesive and is strong enough to hold heavy tiles. Available in 12mm thickness, it can be used on both walls and floors, and can be cut and installed easily using a "score and snap" method. It is a non-combustible alternative to plasterboard or plywood, offering superior performance and durability.
