Picture rail is a decorative molding that is used to hang pictures around the perimeter of a room, instead of fixing them directly to the wall. Manufactured from slow grown pine. In principle, it should be free of all hit and miss knots, if present, will be sound and small in relation to the cross section. Typically manufactured from unsorted redwood. Sizes quoted are finished size after planing.
